When trying to make a positive change in your life, its scary. Especially going to a doctor for your addiction for the very first time. So from my first appoinment in 2019 until now Feb. 2020 nothing changed. The doctors are very professional and treat you with respect. The interns are very kind and seen genuinely concerned and wanting to help. But Taylor who mind a oversees the Bup group's acts decent in class for the most part but if you call her on the phone like I have for 2 weeks straight , leaving messages for her to call you back and she's doesn't, or if you walk by her and say hello she's so stuck up it looks like it hurts her to say it back. About 2 weeks ago I became 50% paralyzed in my legs. I can't stand or walk at all. When I went to my next bup class I knew they were going to drug test me but I had NO WAY of getting from my wheel chair on to the toilet with out my two big strong family members . so they were leaving the same mid ing to drive to rskiegh that I had to be to port. I was worried about not being able to drug test so the family members said since we are passing port anyways we can stop with you at port , let the lady when you check in know what a going on and if they need to drug test you if they could go-ahead and do it now so they could help me on the toilet to do the drug test a d help me back in my wheel chair and hurry and get back on zbr6 road do they can get go Raleigh a d not miss their flight. So I go in, I'm checking in . as I'm checking in I ask Taylor of I could please speak go her before class because I had to drug test but my family also couldn't miss their flight. Taylor said "yes". So I waited and waited, Taylor never came to talk to me before class do I could ask her if they can go ahead and drug test me because I have people willing to help me on and if the foikrz so I can drug test but they had to hurry or they would miss their flight. so my family members who were willing to help so I could drug test had to leave and now because of Taylor never being concerned about ports patients, aways acting like if any one needs to talk to her its a problem and acts like she is beyond uninterested. So guess what....because I'm unable to get on and off the toilet with out family members carrying me and I tried to talk to Taylor so I could drug test while i had people there go but she totally didn't give one shit or concern that I asked to speak to her before class and I told her it was urgent and never came to talk to me, they marked me down as FAILING THE DRUG TEST!!!! When I first started going to Port there was a light skinned girl, with short black hair training to take over the front counter checking in people. Her desk is the 3rd one in, closest to the door the doctors come out of and the same door the patients go back to see the doctors. I will call and ask her a question and she hangs up on me I've heard her call other patients names and roll her eyes at patients behind their back . I've always heard about how mean she is and how she makes patients feel unwanted. She has a mirror or it might be a camera, I can't rememberon the outside of the office she and 2 other girls sit at to check patients in. I have seen her watching the moniter and when she see a pateint walking towards the counter I've actually seen her run to the back so she doesn't have to check them in. There was something I didn't understand before and I showed up at the wrong time or day I can't remember because it happened when I first starting going there so I was totally familiar with the different days and times Bup class was. I walked up to the window to get checked in and she rolled her eyes at me and said ,"you know there no class now". I said no actually I thought there was class because I surely wouldn't of wasted my time and pay ing someone gas to take me there, from NewBern all the way to Greenville)* if I knew there wasn't a class that day. She said" you ha e to stop lying and using that excuse. You've been coming here long enough to know when the classes are, so Bethany just go there a no sense of you being here". Taylor the lady who over sees the Bup program was sitting right beside this girl as this girl is yelling at me ANF all Taylor did was continue to look down at her magazine she was reading. So every one besides Taylor the lady who oversees the suboxene patients and the real skinny light skinned girl, who sits closest to the door for the doctors go in and out of everything's great. I have called over and over, day after d's day asking to speak to Taylor and she never answers, it always goes straight to her voice mail and I do leave .messages, explaining who I am, my phone number and what my question or concern is and she NEVER once has called me back I over a year if me going there. I mean I can understand a couple times she just didn't have time to call back plus she might of thought my message wasn't too urgent and I can just talk to her when I see her, I get that and understand BUT there have been a coupe times the calls were so urgent and without meaning to I'm crying and very upset about what's going on and I beg her to please call me back and she doesn't. So then I will call every day for a week hoping she will see how urgent this is and she still won't call me back. So I know for a fact there has been a bunch of patients that have discharged themselves from port because of the only reason being because how Taylor treats every one. I also have been in line waiting at 1 of the 3 Windows to check in at and EVERYBODY except like 1 person is lined up only at the 1st and 2nd window and I over hear them talking saying how they REFUSE to go to the third window with that little , light skinned girl. They said they rather stand in these 2 lines for an hour waiting to check in then to deal with her. Oh btw I refer go get as the light skinned girl because I don't know her name and she's lighter one out of the 3 girls that work at the window. So if I had to rate this port 1-10, 10 being the best I would give it a 4 but if they got rid of those 2 woman that look like they are just so miserable and make a every one they come in contact miserable then I would rate port a strong 8. There are about 3 or 4 people that work there that are awesome. They make you feel welcomed, they never make you feel like your bothering them and the go the extra mile for example to say hi first or say you're looking a little down today, is everything ok? I'm here if you need to talk. If it wasn't for those 3 or 4 people I can almost guarantee port would lose about 30%-50% of their patients. Those few employees that do their job , do it very well and are in it for the right reasons are the ONLY reason people continue to stay there as a patients.
